The story behind the sound

Some music speaks
without words.

For Morris Northcutt, Secret Garden became a reflection on grief, remembrance, and the quiet hope that can emerge from loss. Rolf Løvland’s melody is reimagined for solo trumpet and chamber ensemble, giving the trumpet room to speak with intimacy and lyrical expression.

Justo Morao’s arrangement brings trumpet, viola, cello, piano, and double bass into a shared musical conversation. The recording unites artists from Venezuela and the United States, with mixing and mastering by Oscar Zambrano of Zampol Productions.
